Évaluation du lieu : 4 Ross-on-Wye, United Kingdom
Scantlings is a really nice holiday house, spotlessly clean, well furnished and decorated, with broadband access. The valley is so deep that mobiles don’t work — Yay! The owners are very pleasant and live next door. The photo shows the view from the balcony. The harbour is always busy, but never noisy — the moorings are reserved for local residents. People swim along the creek, paddle surfboards(standing up) and rafts and sail and row boats. There’s a lovely walk around the creeks, a ferry at their confluence and a couple of really nice pubs which are very civilised. I usually slightly resent having to leave Herefordshire for a holiday, but Newton Ferrers is an exception. The wooded valley is very much like the gorge at Symonds Yat, but with the sea instead of the River Wye. I generally detest the seaside too, but here there are coves to walk to or reach by boat, wonderful rock formations, and lots of butterflies, so we’ll be going back.
