I stumbled upon Harry’s in search for a café with WiFi — though I was looking for ‘café’ in the French sense of the word(an indoor/outdoor coffee, pastries, laptops and buzz). Harry’s, however, is a café in the English sense! It’s a typical greasy spoon offering food like an All Day Breakfast(only £3.75) and Beans on Toast(Heinz to be specific!). Whilst this joint wasn’t what I was after, it IS a nice place. The staff are very friendly and you get a sense of familiarity about the place even on your first visit. It’s also nice and clean and new(a novelty for the English café!). There’s lots of bright light, simple clean furniture and you do get the added benefit of free, secure wifi and plug sockets! It’s cute, clean and smells of bacon rashers. Maybe not the best place to work, but I’d recommend it for a good ‘morning after’ breakfast!
