Tandoori Nights

By far my favorite Indian resturant. You can never go wrong with what you order. The friends that I went with aren’t fans of the spicy, so our meal was a bit more mild than I would have ordered with the hubby. Bar far the best thing on that menu (and everything is super YUMMY!) is the coconut naan.

By FAR the best Indian restaurant in Poole and one of the best in the country (I’ve been to a lot!) The reviewer who said the staff were rude is talking absolute rubbish. We’ve been going there for about 5 years now and we know all the staff to be nothing but polite and they’re like that with all their regulars and newbies alike. The food is great and I usually opt for the chicken Pathia. Like another reviewer said the Ceylon is also very good (similar dish). The place is clean and roomy. Most of the time it’s very busy but comfortable and not overcrowded.
As a matter of fact I think the Eastern Eye (from a review above) is actually closing down. I went there once too and never again. Food was bad but that was a takeaway. But the restaurant was empty at the time. For a takeaway, imrans a bit further down (near kfc) isn’t bad.

I had an absolutely abysmal evening at this restaurant. If only it was possible to leave zero stars (or perhaps minus five stars), I would have done so. The food was OK but the staff soiled our evening by their rude, abrupt manner and absolute lack of consideration for those dining. There were eight of us on our table and the remainder of the restaurant was virtually empty. In the end it actually became entertaining (for all of the wrong reasons) that the staff were so rude. I can only imagine that they wanted to go home. I took great pleasure in not leaving a tip and will NEVER visit this restaurant again, and will be advising everyone else to do the same. Visit the Eastern Eye on Ashley Road instead — this is a great place.

This is one of the best curry places in the country (I travel a lot) let alone Poole. Big recommend.
