Good spot to look at tower & ships passing by., food good. pice ok. good Atmosphere. free parking aftere 6pm in this area ., Really bizzy place on a Sunday.
Good old traditional Building.

One of the best places to be in Old Portsmouth /​Southsea when the sun has got its hat on due to the views and atmosphere. Thrown in the cobbledy streets and you’ve got yourself a winner!
Great range of drinks and food on offer, friendly and good for groups, families, older people, definitely a good place to bring out of towners and tourists and generally anyone!

seated after 5 minutes of waiting, ordered a Sunday lunch and sausage and mash, the portion size was terrible and i’m not greedy three small roast potatoes three small roast parsnips and about a dozen raw green beans, cold gravy and a microwaved yorkshire pudding which made it very tough and a tiny portion of beef, not enough to justify it being on the children’s menu, the sausage and mash in a giant microwaved yorkshire pudding was seved with a few garden peas and check this… instant mashed potato from powder… no no no, not when your paying over nine pounds for the privildge! we ordered coffee and it got forgotten about until i had to remind them after fifteen minutes it was then brought over luke warm served with freezing cold milk. twenty one pounds for an awful meal and eating experience, not one thank you from one member of staff, too busy trying to sell me garlic bread as an accompniment to a roast dinner!!! NEVER AGAIN

I have eaten here on a few occasions now but the last time I went has really put me off.
We turned up on a Tuesday evening at around 6:15 and sat outside in the sun. Went in and ordered our food and a drink at the bar, everything was fine. There were two of us and we both ordered a starter and a main course and it came to £45 with the drinks.
Went back outside to wait for our food and were pleased when the starters came out within around 15 minutes. They were very tasty. Waitress came and took plates away and that is when the problems started…
They were quiet busy but not overly seeing as it was only a Tuesday night. There was one waitress who seemed to be doing everything and the manager was just lingering around doing not a lot. She was running around, taking food out, clearing plates away, taking out drinks. We felt a little sorry for her actually.
We continued watching this for an hour and our main meals still had not come out. After we asked they said that the ticket must have been blown away and that they would do the meals now. We accepted this and waited for another 20 minutes.
Food arrived and it looked vile! I had Paella and the chicken was just a chicken leg that had hardly any meat on it. The rice had three brown lumps in it that looked like bone. Not appetizing.
My partner had sausage and mash and the sausages had been deep fat fried and were burnt, black and greasy.
After this we complained and got the money back. They only refunded us for the main courses which I thought they could have done the whole meal seeing as we had waited so long.
Never mind, wont be going back again I’m afraid :(

is located right on the front at old portsmouth, you can sit and watch the ships come into portsmouth harbour.
