Évaluation du lieu : 5 Brookmans Park, United Kingdom
The best fish and chips in the area bar none. I’m a regular each week and can’t think of one occasion when I’ve been disappointed. What stands Harringtons out from the numerous other chippies in Potters Bar and Brookmans Park is the freshness and quality of the fish. Fried or grilled, it’s cooked to order and is consistently excellent each week. While you have to wait a bit for your food and pay slightly more for that privilege, it is worth it — whether you’re dining in or having a takeaway. In addition to your regular chippy fare, these guys also do mussels, king prawns, salmon, sea bass, lobster, mussels, scallops, calamari and scampi to mention a few. There’s also pasta and a couple of meat dishes along with goujons for kids while the restaurant is fully licensed too. Fish and chips is what it’s all about though. And, if you’ve got space after any of that, there’s a small selection of desserts, fruits and ice cream on the menu. Sounds great but what about the service? It’s fair to say that in the past, service has been hit and miss. But this has improved an awful lot in recent months and this more friendly /customer-oriented approach seems to have had an impact as the restaurant is a lot busier these days. If that hadn’t changed, this would be a 4-star place that does superb food. It gets the extra star for addressing that.

A really good fish and chip shop. They also do take away, but we always eat in. Excellent fish, fried or grilled. Excellent starters and desserts. Everything cooked to order. We have had some really good Chef’s Specials too. W e have eaten here many times and will be going back for more! Prices are a little above average, but worth it. Dress, casual. Parking on street, good. They do not take credit cards at the moment, but there’s a Barclays Bank two doors away.
