Great fish and chips here with kind staff who gave me free chips for no reason at all. Recommended for an easy quick tea. Good prices too! May need to park round the corner as it is on a busy main road. Easy to find.

This sells everything you would expect, plus a few extras.
Close to the Commercial Hotel and The Victoria, it is nicely placed. The fish is perfectly nice, the chips are fine and the portions not too daft.
It is a good place. Friendly service and clean.

Traditional fish and chips served here. Not a bad chippy, although I have had better but I have also had much worse too. Enjoyable but not the best.

Rainhill Fish Bar is probably the best old-fashioned fish-and-chip place in the area. The food is consistently tasty, and the service is great. You can tell the staff and management take a lot of pride in the way the place is run, as you are always met with a friendly face and a positive, eager-to-please attitude. I know some places where the customer service sucks, so this really makes a difference to me.
The fish and chips are very tasty, though I usually can’t resist a kebab. They also do specials, such as pasta dishes and salads.
