I’m not usually one for travelling to another town for a hearty breakfast, but when more than one of my friends promises I won’t be disappointed by Do-Dahs, then I decided to give it a try. Hadn’t been to Rawtenstall before and was surprised by how quaint the high street was, cobblestones and loads of independent stores, it was bustling with folks. So to the dining experience — the staff were really friendly and gave us enough time to flick through their menu. I was in a Man vs. Food frame of mind so went for their Full English(eggs, bacon, sausages, black pudding, tomato, mushrooms, toast and butter served with tea/coffee/OJ). Be warned: the plate of food is humongous. There’s plenty of choice for the non-cavepeople out there, so even if you just fancy a slice or two of toast, it’s a lovely place to sit and watch the world go by. They serve breakfast until 11:30 but aren’t open on Sundays.
