I had the Pad Thai which was very tasty with tender chicken and just the right amount of chili. It came with s jumbo sized rectangular prawn cracker! Service was very efficient and the waitress friendly and pleasa nt. The coffee was strong and delicious. The atmosphere was just right for a casual lunch and the location on Riverside pleasant and close to many other bars and the shops and cinema.

A trip to Reading found me quaffing a pint in here with friends. All Bar One has a pleasant setting by the river Kennet as part of the Oracle development. Thankfully we were able to sit outside in the sunshine. It’s one of a chain and this branch was blessed with good staff who were happy to help us choose our beers and food.

Good food, drink specials, large space, and great atmosphere. As an added bonus, they stock Absolut Raspberri vodka, which is hard to come by in England. It’s one of the few places that make a decent mojito and is the only place (that I’ve been to anyway) that has a Bloody Mary on their drink menu but don’t stock the spices to make it (booooooo!).
I ordered the chicken sandwich (located off the lunch menu) and he ordered the lamb burger. Both were delicious.
They have full service staff who take your order (even though there is a sign on the door stating to order at the bar), deliver your food, and keep the drinks flowing — hard to find in England and being American, I appreciate this.
