Lots of great offerings, but a few things to avoid: Any desserts with mousse or cream, the Indian section, the scallops in the tempanyaki station(unless you can get the chef to really cook them well, but the lines put a lot of pressure on them to keep things moving). Everything else is worth a try.

I’m amazed at the positive reviews this place has received. All you can eat can be fabulous, but these guys have so many different cuisines that they have been stretched so thin they can’t get any of the right. There were two things that I enjoyed reading here, and they certainly weren’t worth the price tag. There are far better places to eat in Reading. Avoid, just avoid.

Had low expectations going in but was impressed with quality for a buffet. Ate to much of the mains to try out the dessert bar. Service was good. Always came back to my dirty plate being gone.

I’m not totally convinced by the whole concept of «all you can eat» and a visit to Cosmo did little to sway me. After hearing a few people rave about the place and reading some of the reviews I ventured in for a spot of Saturday lunch. It was fairly busy without being manic, we were seated quickly and our waitress explained the concept.(It’s pretty rudimentary: Get a plate, help yourself, repeat ad nauseum) I found the food to be variable, some of the dishes were on par with what I would expect from a takeaway specialising in that particular type of cuisine whereas others tasted either bland or just plain bizarre compared with my expectation. The food containers seemed to be getting restocked fairly frequently and only one of the dishes I tried seemed like it may have been sitting on the hot plate a little too long. The selection was fairly average for this type of place. It’s billed as Pan Asian, when I was there this translated to a selection of chinese and indian dishes with a couple of mexican offerings along with chips, pizza, onion rings and all that jazz. Desserts looked like some kind of diabetic coma inducing sugarfest which I chose to ignore, plenty of cake, jelly and ice cream to whet your appetite. All told the place is OK, but only OK. If I were nearby I would grab a bite to eat here over a fast food joint but if you want a decent sit down eating experience there are plenty of better options open to you within walking distance. Cost us about £12/head for lunch buffet and bottomless soft drink.

If you love a chocolate fountain then that’s the place to be! I love it and have been there many times. It’s really clean, the staff are kind, the food is great and there’s a fabulous choice.

Haven’t bothered to go to a buffet in years because I always fear getting sick at them. In the US there were a bunch of Old Country Buffets that were always getting people sick when I was in high school, yuck! This however was a pleasant surprise. A friend of mine in Reading recommended it while I was there for business. The ups: –Tons to choose from –Central location so it is easy to get to the train station or the major bus lines –Compared to other options it is super affordable, I think a beer and unlimited food was 15 pounds. –The place was clean, well lit, and the staff was really helpful and attentive(unlike buffets in the US) The only downside I can think of is buffets always cause me to eat too much and end up feeling like a total glutton after wards. Oh well, just don’t go all the time I suppose :). Would definitely visit again given the chance!
