Millie’s Cookies

5 stars for Joshua at Millies’s — we’ve had a few celebration cookies over the years and with out youngest’s 18^th birthday thought we’d have a joke and get her a cookie again. She always liked the movie Cars so we thought we’d see if they could ice a cookie with Mater the tow truck on — well Joshua was a little taken-​a-​back by this as he wasn’t sure he could do it but he gave it a go and the results were excellent. Everyone was very pleased and it was good to be served by someone prepared to give it a try and not just say «Naa!»
Yes you can get cookies cheaper, they aren’t a big deal to make yourself for pennies if price is an issue but I’m not sure you can get a huge one with decorations to order ;ike this for love nor money elsewhere.

Really like this idea. The flavours and selection is fresh and thoughtful and the celebration cookie/​cake idea makes for a great gift. I believe they estimate 2 hours to make these but I have had a few made up and they usually are done sooner then that. If you are attending a birthday or any form of celebration get one of these, they always go down well and tast fantastic. The staff (at the oracle branch) are friendly, fast and well presented and their knowledge is very good so seems staff training is on the ball. All round a very nice treat and very clever idea in my opinion. Next time you are in town have a go and you will not regret it.

This is a well located shop, which provides high quality cookies although you could get 3 of them for the same price at m&s they are delicious especially dark chocolate.

Pros Millie’s is well located, as it’s in the Oracle shopping centre in the middle or Reading town centre. Although it’s not a big shop, there’s never much of a queue (that I’ve seen!) and there are usually plenty of cookies and cakes available, as well as promotions and deals to make them more affordable. I absolutely love the chocolate brownies and the chocolate chip cookies!
Cons Although the cookies and cakes are yummy, they seem overpriced to me go to any supermarket and you can get at least 4 cookies for the price of two at Millie’s! And I always find their deals and promotions a bit of a joke for the same reason

I love cookies and this is a great place to get them from. They have just introduced a new flavour: apple and cinamon — yummy. The staff are nice and friendly and is is a great treat while you are shopping.
