«I was cycling by and spotted the sign „Railway open“. And I thought „Railway? Here?“ So I went in to check it out. It’s a miniature railway. Not a tabletop, mind you. These are rideable trains on a huge loop that goes around the parking lot and through a decent piece of the park! Actual ride-able coal-fired steam trains on a raised 3 ½» and 5″ gauge as well as a 2 ½″ ground based one: scales from N to O. I don’t want to say that it’s «cute» because I think that would take away from the amount of effort and caring(and expense!) these hobbyists are putting into their art. Check out the pictures too. If you didn’t know this place existed, you would never know. And you would seriously be missing out. This has to be seen to be believed and if you have little ones, this is a great place to stop by. Check their website( ) for more information and confirm the schedule before coming, because they only run on certain days of the week.
