Lovely setting, comfortable accommodation, but may need to take a another mortgage out if you intend to have more than one drink here. Apart from that it’s great for a break.

A beautiful old hotel overlooking the Thames with very good restaurant and Spa/​gym facilities.
Booked a night away so went for a 4-​poster bed-​room with balcony over the river. We ended up being upgraded to the Jerome K. Jerome (of 3 men in a boat fame) suite which was huge — bedroom, lounge, kitchen, dining table for 8!!!
Excellent food in the restaurant with very good service.
We didn’t use the gym, although it looked good. The Spa was very relaxing though.
Only minor criticism would be some of the finishing touches which would turn this place into a quite stunning place to be.
Would recommend checking for deals. I used
where we booked a great deal including B&B, dinner and spa but they also have offers on their site.
