Always good food been at least 10 times. There is a funny waiter that wants you to try everything on the menu.

LaiLing is situated on a beautiful scenic location in front of Cofton park and overlooking the Lickey Hills; It’s a truly exceptional view! On the door of the restaurant, there’s a takeaway menu, but I couldn’t find any other menus for eating in; I decided to go in anyway to find out, and figured that I’d find something within my price range. However, upon entering, I was handed a buffet menu at the table for £15.90! The price immediately put me off, but I was automatically given some prawn crackers at the table; so I couldn’t back out now!(I think the restaurant should advertise itself better as a buffet to avoid any confusion for future customers!) After finally getting over how much damage this meal would take on my wallet(and my friend’s wallets), I tried to work out how the buffet actually worked. I’d never been to a buffet where you order off the menu before, and i struggled to understand how the place could be considered a buffet without going up to pick whatever amount of food you want! Still slightly confused, I proceeded to order the aromatic duck wraps as a starter. You can order as many starters as you wanted, and my friends ordered copious amounts of spring rolls and prawn toast. I have to admit, as soon as the food was brought out, I completely understood why the buffet cost so much. The duck was absolutely delicious and perfectly cooked, as was the prawn toast. With over 70 dishes on the menu, you’d never get bored of the food! And I tried my hardest to get my money’s worth! For mains, I ordered sweet and sour chicken with rice, and also a salmon fillet in Thai green sauce. If I hadn’t eaten lunch earlier that day, I know for a fact that I could have eaten much much more. But unfortunately, I’d become absolutely stuffed, damn!(Portions were humongous too, even the starters!) All the dishes I had eaten were amazing and full of flavour, and I definitely recommend the restaurant to lovers of Oriental cuisine. So after the initial mix up, I grew to adore this place. I don’t think it’s somewhere I’ll return often though, unless I win the lottery! But saying that, LaiLing was packed full of people and reservations!(There must be a lot of rich people living around the Lickeys!)
