Had been a regular customer but will never go back. Owner/​manager is so rude and massive garlic overload in every dishbordering on offensive. Always asked for no garlic but still managed to out some in every time we went. My husband and i have been vegetarian for over 20 years but apparently our fault when they got the order wrong and got a meat dish– said we had ordered by mistake. No apology. yeah coz after 20 years we forgot we were vege and ordered beef. Rude, rude, rude.

Friendly service, food is top notch. Really very good. There Szechwan with tofu is particularly amazing! S15a And they’re Chow Mein noodles! NOM NOM NOM! Shame I can’t order and pay online yet. Great for vegetarians there really is a good range of food for me to have. Unlike most places! Recommended. They are my favourite takeaway.

Great food friendly staff and at good prices but always remember to order by phone because the takeaways are normally ready at the right time. It’s also clean and modern as well as offering a free delivery service if you spend over £15 on a takeaway.

Gourmet Wok may just take the prize for best all round Chinese takeaway in the UK. Certainly the best I’ve ever been to. Sure, other takeaways do certain dishes better, but for a chinese banquet or just a chilli beef and rice on a Friday night it’s hard to beat. Their prawn toast is particularly good, and they also have a load of special dishes on the menu that you don’t often see. And a great big bowl of prawn crackers on the counter for you to munch at while you wait.
It’s easy enough to find, just down Bell Street on the left as you head up towards Crawley. But they do home delivery, which might be more of a wait, but it’ll be worth it.
