I live in Twickenham and am used to unwillingly paying £3.70 for a pint of lager. So when I was asked for £2.30 for a pint here in The Mulberry I was a little shocked. So shocked, in fact, that I proceeded to buy plenty more.
I was most shocked because; a) I wasn’t up North; b) I wasn’t in a shit hole; and c) It was actually a nice pub.
How was this? I was paying barely anything and I was in a NICE pub which was COMFORTABLE, with NICE décor, GOOD music, a DART BOARD, an ITBOX and POOL TABLES.
I am still confused as it was so cheap but remained nice. It will most likely become my local now.
