Argos

Argos is a large catalogue retailer, with over 750 stores in the UK and Ireland, this store in particular is in Rochdale’s «Centre Retail Park»
The retail park is reasonably central, and is just at the higher end of a small hill, on a busy road, to get into the city centre, so the location is good, for people who can get to city centre Rochdale, but want to visit Argos and avoid slightly bigger crowds, and less walking!
This store is quite large, with even shoots in the back room, so they probably do seem to stock a good amount of things in the catalogue, compared to other stores.
Due to the store’s size, you could be waiting slightly longer to pick up your items, which is basically common-​sense, but still they could make the most of this waiting time, and lower it by adding automatic machines, which take your «Reservation» number and cash, so you can just wait to collect it, rather than waiting in a queue, then waiting for your item.
The queue wasn’t very big, but they didn’t handle it very well with just one member of staff, especially as one was spending a good amount of time and organizing a home delivery.
After my longer than expected wait at the queue, luckily I didn’t have to wait too long for my item, but still, even though this Argos store looks pretty cool and modern, it still isn’t with outdated queuing, and using the pencil and paper approach, rather than using machines, which could ease the queuing process, hence making happier customers.
Even though I’d probably have liked to give 3 stars, this store is slightly outdated with no machines for already ordered items, and having to use a pencil and paper (very bad quality) to take to the till, for the item you want, for now until this Argos store makes themselves, more like a 2015 store, and not 2005, I feel I can only give 2 stars.
