As soon as I heard that this restaurant has changed to The Shalimar I had to try it out.
Situated at Spotland Bridge (used to be Raj’s /​India Lounge).
The Shalimar is a lovely contemporary style restaurant. The menu choice is excellent and includes some different and unusual style dishes. The quality of food was superb and the service outstanding.
I went here with my Wife and some friends and we all enjoyed it very much.
We will definitely be going back and I highly recommend this restaurant

This is a gorgeous Indian Restaurant that seems to have been going through the doldrums recently. The food is beautiful. The décor is exceptional and the service is very very good. I am surprised the Restaurant has had no previous reviews. The main reason I have placed this review today, is that as from June 2011 the place is now called: SHALIMAR, with the same address and details.
The place has been re-​bornagainnow called PAVILION II There is adequate parking, a nice waiting area prior to taking your table and value for money (when it was The India Lounge) was very good. When I have tried the restaurant with its new owners, I will amend this review under the appropriate Shalimar heading.
