Frankie & Benny’s

This was the first franky and benny’s i went to, rushed in there just before watching a movie because they said they could bring me my food in 40 minutes or less, they did it with time to spare and i didn’t miss my movie ^^ i went there with my 7 year old brother with adhd and a heart condition so he can’t sit still anyway and if he did he would go numb and be very uncomfortable, the staff were VERY accommodating, understanding and the service is the best service i have ever had anywhere, these people don’t get paid enough! i have been to other F&B’s since and it’s the same so they have something going there, well done!
The food was great, best chips i’ve ever had since burger king downsized, they gave my brother a large desert instead of the childs one (they made out it was an accident because we ordered 3 anyway but it’s the 3^rd time this has happened XD) nowadays there’s a limit on how good regular walk in chain restaurant or pub food can get, franky and benny’s is DEFINITELY at the HIGHER end of the scale for food (but then i get pizza, burgers, steak, calzones, pretty hard to mess those up, the spaghetti wasn’t what we are used to but i didn’t eat that and apparently it wasn’t disgusting), so go to franky&benny’s the only place i have been to where i never tip enough!

Okay, so clearly everybody else who has written a review has no idea what they’re talking about.
I have been going to Frankie & Bennys since it first opened I was a young teenage girl back then, and I recall vividly that it was the only restaurant I had ever been taken to where I felt at home, welcomed, warm, comfortable no matter how old I was. Many years later, I still feel the same way I went there for lunch this week and was blown away yet again by the immense quality of the food, the friendly banter and eager-​to-​please staff, and the speed at which our food was delivered.
If you are a cheese lover (like me), I STRONGLY recommend the American Black and Blue pizza I’ve had it twice now and I am amazed that the second time lived up the almost orgasmic memory I had of the flavour! The blue cheese pasta isn’t bad either. My hubby always has a steak and they always cook it just the way he likes it they actually LISTEN (a fault we have found with many other restaurants) and although the pasta on the whole is nothing to write home about, the Pizza and meat dishes are to die for.
But above all of this, it is the SERVICE which keeps me coming back to F&B’s for my eighteenth birthday meal, for my Uni graduation celebration, for a lunch date with my husband on a day off, or for catching up with friends, I will always choose this restaurant because I am always met with a smile, as is every other person I know who has been there. The waiters and waitresses are always happy to banter (which I enjoy) and I have not once been disappointed with the attention I have recieved here.
To me, Frankie & Benny’s will always be my restaurant, the one I remember from childhood and well into adulthood. Please keep up the great work, and I shall keep coming back!!!

Always enjoy Frankie and Benny’s but the only problem is that I always find myself going for the same thing as find myself disapointed otherwise. Service is generally very good but you can be left waiting. We booked a table for 15 people which had to be done before 7 and then they ran late so we didn’t sit down until almost 8!

AS with all the other Frankie and Bennys, the décor is Italian New York 1930s through 60 and it’s a fun place to be with great old tunes (if thats your kinda thing).
I would recommend going here more for drinks than food though to be honest. They have a good selection of wines and do cocktails too — all reasonable on the money front.
Food was ok — I had Chicken Parmegiana — which was pretty rubbish as it goes. It was all very ‘frozen, bunged in the microwave/​out of a packet’ sort of quality and not worth the £10 thereabouts price tag attached to it. I should have ordered the steak as my friends did, as they looked pretty good. Maybe best to go for something cook to order — as there is more chance of it tasting better.
Service was friendly though, and I would still go back again.
