Are you afraid of Zombie Corn? I am. It comes after me in the night. I think all corn is pretty much zombie corn now. Wait. What’s that noise?

RUN! CORN!
First-​Hand Experience: I was a semi-​fan of Runcorn when I was a kid and so I snuck off from my family in Manchester and watched them play here 3 or 4 times. The funny thing is, I think they were more knowledgeable fans than the Manchester United fans… I’m just kidding United. But really, I always had a great time watching Runcorn and this little team is special to me. I haven’t seen them play in over 10 years, sadly. Will have to rectify that soon.
Runcorn was actually «my team» when my little brother and I used to pretend we were pro footballers. He played for Huddersfield (and later QPR), and I played for Runcorn (and later Oxford and Liverpool).
They’ve had a few name and ownership and branding changes, going out of business once or twice, and this is the latest incarnation. Long gone are the days when they were qualifying for the league but turning down the opportunity… now they’re miles away from those heady heights. Hopefully they can get back to it sometime because Merseyside is the loveliest part of England in terms of the warmth of the people (my opinion) and 4 teams in the area aren’t enough, Runcorn would be a welcome 5^th.
