Never ever contact Key properties, unless you want to be on their mailing list forever.
As a landlord, I contacted them once. Since then and despite phoning them on numerous occasions to tell them to remove me from their database, they have continued to plague me for business.

Can you give 0 Stars? They aren’t even worth the 1 star…
Basically, avoid at ALL COSTS. We have dealt with these morons for two years and I can honestly say (in terms of my history of renting property) It has been the most stressful experience of my life. Before you sign everything seems in order, Sales Staff a little pushy but on the whole ok. HOWEVER, once something breaks, they don’t help, we lived in a place run by them WITHOUT AN UP TO DATE GAS CERTIFICATE, and they didn’t seem to care. We went nearly 8 months with a hole in our bathroom ceiling after water broke through, only for the landlord to arrive and botch a job himself. We were left over a month without hot when our boiler was broken. We have constantly had to chase these people up with phonecalls, emails, we even arrived at their office in person to complain numerous times. The slightest repair ends up in a dispute with these people, our oven CAUGHT FIRE and has still not been replaced as they somehow blame us (with no evidence from the fire brigade). Luckily in less than 3 weeks I am moving away from them, to never deal with them again, this is after contacting the Ombudsman, SHELTER, Watchdog and various local press to complain, these people are the worst kind of business people, DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY!

This is another one where I can’t really say what they’re like as landlords, but I can at least say what they’re like as salespeople.

No, I’m only joking, they’re not so bad. In fact they’re very polite, if a little over-​zealous in the sense that they insist upon confirming every appointment by phone five minutes before it happens. And they’ve got some amazing little bargains on the books, I mean did you know that for £450 a month you can get a two bedroomed apartment in Salford? Okay, it’s in Weaste, which isn’t exactly the Mecca of trendy urban living, but goodness, it’s a nice apartment.
There’s something estate agents do nowadays, and I’m not going to penalise Key Properties for it because everyone does it. Spam. Email spam. If possible, don’t ever give out your email address, they’ll inundate you with details of every single rentable property in Manchester whether you want it or not. I unfortunately had to send Key Properties quite a harsh email to get them to stop it. To be fair, they did. So I won’t grumble.
If you’re new to the city and looking for an inexpensive place to rent, definitely browse Key Properties’ website, and their reps are pretty friendly to boot. Just don’t give anyone your email address. And don’t go live in Weaste. It’s a bit rubbish.
