Mail Box Express

I’ve used Mail Box Express twice since I posted my review back in July, and in fact this ‘twice’ took place over two days — I used these couriers to send bits and bobs up to Scotland. Edinburgh and Glasgow, respectively. And they’ve still not let me down!
Let me tell you the story. Wine needs to get to Jenny L. Not just because I love her so but because she needs some for an important soirée. So I figure, rather than carting all this stuff back from SafeStore and getting the dudes to pick it up from my house, why not simply get them to meet me at Safestore? This is however easier said than done when you realise that while SafeStore is much closer to your boyfriend’s flat than yours, you’ve left all your permanent markers and industrial cellotape at your own abode and while it’s walking distance, it’s sideways raining. So I ducked into a nearby newsagents, grabbed me a marker and some tape, and scooted on over round the corner and the scary Fireplace shop to SafeStore. I received a call on the way from Mail Box Express telling me the courier had arrived. They’re flipping reliable, that’s for sure!
Anyway I got there, flustered and soaked, and Mr Courier was there, ready with his little wheelie trolley. I said I’d bring the boxes downstairs but he insisted — he hoisted his trolley up and came right to my locker door. And then when I cellotaped the one open box and wrote down the address, I started to write another and he said, ‘Oh, I can do that. Don’t worry, I’ll address them for you.’ Overdoing the thanks, I started to gather up the boxes, only to be stopped again. He was away with them already. I barely had to lift a finger. And when I called up to deliver bunting to Chris D, not just because I love him but because he needed some for an important soirée, another guy from Mail Box buzzed my flat within hours and took the package from me right at my door.
I’m never using the post office for large package deliveries again. All hail these dudes!

Great door to door delivery, saves a lot of messing around.
