Good old fashioned pub with home made food. Family run pub which is always busy.
The lamb, chicken and beef roasts are good. Always book though especially on a Sunday because its usually busy

For some reason you dont get as much food when its busy, but still nice food. Split into restaurant and pub. The bar its cheaper and just as nice.
Love this place at Christmas time, great food and atmosphere. I have booked for the 23^rd Dec :)

Good old fashioned pub, with great food to boot!
Not quite a full blown gastro pub but well on its way. The food was good quality and there was a varied selection.
I had tuna steak that was a little over done for my liking (but as I happily eat sashimi maybe I am not the best judge) but was still moist. Tried a bit of the steak pie and lasagne that my friends had and both were very nice as were the generous plate of fries for the table to share.
All in all a friendly rural pub atmosphere with good pub Grub. Would definitely go again and was a nice place to take friends from foreign parts keen to see a traditional British boozer.

Nice, old style tradiotnal pub, witha very good choice of real ales.
There is a lovely large beer garden and you can almost always find yourself a quiet little corner for a drink outside.
Inside the traditional pub look continues, and the food carried on the nice pub grub feel, as all the food is freshly prepared and homely tasting.
Huge portions of food, and i really struggled to get anywhere down the plate, so you’re certainly getting value for your money.
Must say i’ve always found the name a little confusing for a pub in the Sandbach countrysidevery odd.

The pub looks great from the outside, a big traditional looking building which looks very inviting upon arrival. Upon entering the premises, the interior doesn’t disapoint either, mirroring the exterior feel, lots of dark wood hitting the old pub feel home! Good selection of beers available, including real ales and modern lagers. The staff were pretty friendly, that’s as far as I’d go I’m afraid. We ordered food from their ridiculous looking menu, whoever had the idea to print the menu’s on fluorescent card needs their backside kicking, to say it doesn’t fit in with the traditional pub feel would be an understatement! However, the food was very good, large portions well presented. The pub was recommended to me for the food and it lived up to expectations. Well worth an effort, just take your sunglasses in with you to look at the menus!
