Mattys Mobile Valeting and Detailing

It is a shame that I cannot award no stars since this is what I consider this review should be. I booked Matty to clean and valet a 44 prior to sale. He quoted me £90 for a full valet which I considered pricey but nevertheless went ahead. Matty turned up and then charged £140. Regrettably I was not around at the time of the work but left the money with a member of my staff who was not aware of the price arranged and paid in full. Despite answering an initial email speedily concerning the arrangements and directions to my property he ignored subsequent emails questioning his pricing structure. He also smoked while on the job which was most unprofessional. When I did get to speak to him he confirmed that the extra was for travelling time (quoting 90 minutes in total for a 20 minute single journey of 12 miles) and some extra treatment. Additionally he blamed me for leaving the payment with my PA and accused me of ‘not hearing him’ when he explained his terms concerning travelling. This is not true and had I been aware I would have booked an alternative valeter closer. Overall I rate his customer service skills as poor. It is unfortunate that he did not offer a refund which is why I have resorted to raising this honest and forthright review. Overall my experience was extremely disappointing, the work done was reasonable but not outstanding given the price. I feel hoodwinked and would not recommend Matty and would further urge any of his future customers to ensure that a price is agreed prior to any work commencing or just use an alternative.

I had just got hold of a second hand citreon car.
It came in a bit of a state, so I found Matty on QYPE.
He travelled out from Scarborough to Harwood Dale which was a bonus because I work from home.
Texted me to say he was on the way and rang when he was close.
Great communication and a great price too.
I had superglue marks on the dashboard from where the previous owner had superglued his tom tom to!
Matty took one look at it and said it would be no problem to remove.
Not only did he shampoo, clean, vacuum the inside he also did an amazing job on the out of the car too.
The end result was amazing, I will get a photo on here later but it is showroom clean.
Fantastic service, recommended to all and everyone in Scarborough and District.
It doesn’t matter how many words use to big up Matty, a photo paints a thousand words, so I promise I will get the photo of the car up later.

Matty did my car the other day and he did an outstanding job. My car looked a mess, but he put the shine back in to my car. Would really recommend him to anyone.
