Café #9 only gets 2 stars from me because it’s a bit overpriced. They’ve got good ideas — cinnamon toast — but never turn out as nice as they sound. On the plus side it’s a great place to go if say you lock yourself out or it’s raining or something and you need to while away 3hrs only buying one coffee because it’s v relaxed, has music and lots of papers, magazines and board games to keep you entertained. If you stay long enough the likelihood is also the staff may have entirely forgotten what you ordered.

At the heart of Nether Edge lies Café #9. I had a great little lunch in there today — really nice coffee, homemade soup and a delicious cheese, ham and mushroom toastie. In fact, the soup was particularly delicious. The staff were friendly, the atmosphere relaxed, and for £8 I was absolutely stuffed. In fact, I couldn’t finish all the bread provided with the soup. I’m now pleased to say that Nether Edge has two of the best cafes(Homemade is the other) I’ve ever been too, and right opposite each other! Nether Edge continues to grow in my estimation.
