Amazing restaurant with Spanish food! If you want to have a nice time dancing salsa and swing this is your club Sundays and Wednesdays! Really nice serving and waitress! Yolanda is the best!

The bar area is really small, the chairs are uncomfortable, they pack you in like rats, I personally didn’t find the food that great, beer selection is very limited and most of all, I found the servers to be extremely rude and inhospitable.

Great fun place to eat. Beer is expensive, but isn’t it everywhere these days :(There wasn’t a free table as we didn’t book so off we wandered else where… a few minutes later the waiter followed us down the road and caught up with us saying they did manage to get a table for us and let us in. Proper good service. Went again for the second time Saturday 21st Jan 2012. £13 per head wasn’t too bad, but was still hungry and ended up having a kebab later. lol

I was in Sheffield visiting my boyfriend when we went to Cubana. We were quite hungry at the time, so the waiter recommended we each get two tapas and one accompaniment, which ended up being the right amount(the boyfriend insists it could’ve been a little bigger but I guess I just have a woman’s appetite). The only downside to this place was that it was a little pricey based on the portions. If you’re a beginner who wants to learn some Latin dance moves go on a Monday night and enjoy!

Food was great, atmosphere was fun as hell, the drinks were good. The place turns into a salsa club once food service is through so be aware of that. I love any restaurant where the staff dance during their work shift. FUNFUNFUN!

We had a really nice evening with colleagues here. 6 of us opted for the set meal which provided us with waaay enough food with plenty left over. We arrived and got one of the last tables at 8pm and by the time we left an hour or so later if was heaving with an interesting mix of diners and drinkers. Live band plus entertaining group of smashed but polite post funeral drinking buddies topped off a fun night.

Ate here on a business trip to Sheffield tonight. We went for the standard set meal for 6, which came quickly and well cooked with a good variety of food to choose from. The meatballs were particularly good. Nice atmosphere with jazz band playing, and vibrant feel about the place. Keep up the good work

Great atmosphere and very lively. Smells a bit sweaty though from all those salsa-ing bodies!

One of my favourite places in Sheffield city centre, special atmosphere and friendly staff. You won’t find any teenage binge drinkers there. In fact I have never noticed any trouble there inspite of the fact that it gets pretty crowded at the weekends. Nice place especially if you like salsa dancing(after 10pm), but good to watch also. Mojito and marguerita are excellent.

This authentic Cuban restaurant/bar/dance club is one of the hidden gems of Sheffield. Well priced and prepared tapas starts the typical evening, which will no doubt end in fabulous mohitos and great salsa sessions with the waitresses and chefs. Great for a night out with work.

Really good night out. It is a restaurant and a bar all in one. You can go here just to eat the tapas(which is really delicious) or you can come just to the bar area, which on a weekend gets really packed. Really good fun and you can get to do a little salsa as well!

Why is it that everyone loves Cubana? It’s not the cheapest bar or restaurant in town, it’s not even the swankiest, but it sure is the place where you feel instantly alive. The staff are always fab, the atmosphere is electric and the food is out of the top drawer. Tapas is the name of the game here, with plenty to choose from, but to save us the bother, our waitress suggested we pick from the set menu, a splendid introduction to what the restaurant is all about. There are actually two set menus; a regular(£17.50 per person) and a deluxe(£21.50), but being picky blighters, we went for a few from each. They didn’t seem to mind. We’d barely re-adjusted our belts before the first dishes arrived, including a sumptuous black olive and mixed herb pâté on ciabatta and a selection of scrumptious king prawns. We delved into these feverishly as the remaining tapas turned up, including two of my faves; Patatas Bravas and Cubana’s famous meatballs. And there was some good news on that front; my other half was already filling up and didn’t want her slice of the meat action. Score. The place was busy, and yet the service was absolutely spot on. The food came quickly, and we were checked upon at just the right moments. There were 10 dishes in total, and to be frank, you’d have to be a greedy little git to polish them all off between two of you, something we didn’t quite manage. As we supped on our wine, we pondered the menu’s highlights. .. I went for those meatballs, my missus for the white wine mushrooms and spinach topped with goats cheese, but it’s never easy when so much of it is so good. We rounded the night off with a shot of Sambuca, safe in the knowledge that for all it’s years as one of the best places bar, restaurant or live music venue in town, Cubana is not about to let standards slip.

Authentic tapas food with traditional spanish/south american music and rustic style suroundings. Theres a good variety of tapas dishes both meat dishes and veggie dishes. The food and drinks are reasonbly priced but look out for the Happy Hour too this is fantastic value. There are regular Salsa nights where you can have dancing lessons from there Salsa techers and learn to dance the sexy salsa and merange. Its a great fun place with a really relaxed and freindly atmosphere, a great venue for a meal with friends then salsa the night away.

Best restaurant in Sheffield is usually said about Cubana and yeah, I’d go with that. The tapas menu is fantastic, and you can tell the chef’s won awards. Simple dishes like meatballs or chicken and chorizo are cooked with great care and skill, making them delicious. There’s also the option having a reccommended selection which, considering what you get, is brilliant value for money. Then there’s the music nights. Every evening excluding Wednesday has it’s own theme, including ‘Mellow Mondays’ and ‘Flamenco Thursdays’; all free by the way, and even fits in with Happy Hour! Cubana is also a fine bar in its own right. There’s numerous latin beers to wash the calamari down and cocktail list is as inventive any bar’s. Try the ‘Pisco sour’ with Peruvian brandy for something a little different.

A lively place to take in some tapas and much more interesting than the La Tascas of this world. Service is friendly and usually quick even when the restaurants full. Take advantage of the early evening offers, and make sure you book if you want to go here on for dinner at the weekend as it gets very busy.

I always have a good night out at Cubanas. The tapas is sooo tasty, the atmosphere is great and the waiters are lovely(they fit us in when it was packed in there because it was my birthday). The barman makes up some lovely cocktails as well. Trippet Lane is a cool, little known street, and Cubanas is a great place to start your exploration of this area.
