Jacks’ Records has been around in Sheffield ever since I can remember. It’s one of the few independent record shops left and despite the fact that it’s famously run by one of the grumpiest men in Sheffield(so famous there was a group on Facebook called ‘Why’s The Owner of Jack’s Records so miserable!’) it’s still thriving. All kinds of obscure vinyl can be found in there and it’s an LP enthusiasts dream. There’s also a good section of CD’s and the shop also acts as a ticket agent for local gigs, particularly the Boardwalk. Expect very obscure music to be playing when you walk in. Another thing it’s famous for.
