Like a working man’s club, only not.
Big venue that’s seen better days. Especially the tables and toilets. Beer is very expensive, especially with the brown bear next door offering beer at half the price.
Food was very average. Didn’t cost a lot, but nothing I’d consider buying again, or finishing a plate of.
If there’s a football game you want to watch, the place doubles as a sport-​cinema, but there’s infinitely better pubs only a few minutes away, so it’s not worth the effort.

A large place with plenty of room to sit and a lot of TV screens. The beer flows good and quick here. The food is also good… nothing to write home about, but fits the bill.
If you have a large group, this is a good place to come to and have better places than something like All Bar One..

The old monk is a fantastic pub, they do a good pint and a good meal! there not really expensive either.
it has a good atmosphere, there mainly are students but there is a good mix from time to time =]
The place itslef is nice and clean, and theres always loo roll in the toliets which is good haha ^^

A lovely pub no matter what the time of year and excellent food too.
polite staff, clean pub and toiltes and a good atmosphere.
Pop in for a pint!
