Here we go — Wide rang of different Asian dishes, polite waiters/waitresses and high standard dishes Tad expensive and not the biggest portions on the other-hand if you have starter main and pudding there quite a good size as a single course is not over facing and all 3 is easily fulling enough Overall good for 2 or 3 course meal or small appetite. Would highly recommend to people who have the money otherwise there is ample cheaper options nearby for a less classy occasion.

A small group of work colleagues thought we would try YO YOs after others had said how good it was. We arrived and were shown a table — where we sat looking at the menus — the menus were rather limited in their«fused» dishes with nothing really unique to the restaurant that I could not have found in any restaurant within a scuff of my shoe leather. However we remained trying to decide on a dish that would justify being there. The waitress returned after close on 20 minutes — «are you ready to order?» 4 of us looked at her and asked about a drink first! «We are too busy!» She uttered as I quickly scanned the 3 tables to my left at the window — 9 people — I then turned to appeal to her but she had already left. As her footsteps echoed through the empty restaurant I looked at the others and said let’s go. Not only was it a waste of time but in 8 months of working in Shipley it was the worst experience at a restaurant we have experienced. We wrote this on trip advisor but the owner had it removed and we are called dishonest — but I welcome anyone to ask any of the party there that evening what took place and I can only guarantee an honest answer to the point that not only have we never been there again since April but neither have any new colleagues who have joined us throughout the year. I do not believe in dishonest reviews and I therefore cannot review the food — as we had none — the review is simply on the welcome and the hospitality we received — which was a slap in the face of welcomes.

One of the best places I had chinese food in an area with a lot of chinese restaurants. From people who base their marking on low price and massive quantities, Yo Yo will not be a top-runner. But for the quality of food we got, the taste, the presentation, the competence and friendlyness of the staff, the price was adequate and we left with the intention to come back soon again.

Whilst visiting family we thought we’d try out this Fuzion restaurant as we are big Thai cooking fans. YoYo is relatively new to the area having only a few years standing and occupies a huge building on Rosse Street. The atmosphere was rather odd, which can only be descibed as a jazzed up version of Weatherspoons. There’s a large bar, with a café style area infront and then two tiers of restaurant seating, which overlook the rest. As it’s name suggests, it is all three combined, which in my opinion may have worked if it was a burger and fries joint, but for a Thai eatery of this price tag it was a let down. There’s also nothing authentic about the décor that could possibly be associated with Fuzion. The modern loft style with high beams was just that, lofty and we were chilly throughout the meal. The worst part had to be the music though, very dated dance/pop and far too loud for an eating area. After wading our way through a too large menu I began with a starter of Thai fishcakes, which was delicious, yet very small. For my main I chose the Thai Green Chicken Curry, which was shockingly £8.95 without rice, which was an extra £2.20. This may not seem hugely expensive, but for such a simple dish and considering the overall feel of this place I would consider it over priced. The curry was a let down too, far too spicy for a delicate Thai dish and the abundance of red chilli over powered all other flavours. We all felt that the mains were grossly over priced for a place of this calibre, for example one of our part y had the Surf and Turf(steak with prawns), which was mediocre, yet priced at £17.95. The food and the décor seems to be suffereing an identity crisis and there is nothing about Yo Yo’s that fuzes; a café-bar-restaurant, serving Chinese-Thai– Japanese… perhaps they’re just trying to get all areas covered for maximum profits. One of the worst aspects was overhearing a particular staff member shouting at our waitress telling her how useless she was. This was extremely unpleasant and surprising as the only enjoyable aspect of our visit to YoYo was the staff who are polite and engaging. After enquiring we later found out that the man was the boss. My Dad left with a hole in his pocket the size of a H-bomb and it’s needless to say that we wont ever be returning.

I have been here a number of times and have only ever had a good time. The fusion menu offers something for everyone. The service is very friendly and food and drink don’t take long to be served. A nice interior, not too fussy, with ample space. You should try this if ever near, better than the usual chinese places. A new menu is on it’s way too i believe

Lovely new eatery in Shipley The staff are great, very friendly and chatty. Nice tasty food, at a good price. Can also go here just for a drink, as they have entertainment on an evening.

Have only been here for a few drinks(haven’t ever eaten here). The food did smell good though and the menu was appealing. It’s a really nice place — buzzing atmosphere, lovely décor. However, it is pretty expensive and seemed, when I visited, to be quite a pretentious crowd.
