This is a relatively new restaurant housed in the beautiful old Shoreham Town Hall building located right on the High Street.
I think Brighton could do with a few more places like this so have no problem at all driving the 15 minutes along the seafront to eat here.
The interior is light and airy without seeming at all cold. At night, the lighting is really subtle and relaxing. The staff are really down to earth and do an excellent job making you feel welcome.
The food is so well cooked and presented here. There’s all the classics like seared scallops and lamb shanks but if I was going to recommend anything it would be their signature dish of beef wellington. You have to order in advance (24hrs) but they use only the finest fillet of beef. It really is worth trying.
For wine, the Italian Merlot is the house plonk and at £12 is reasonable but if you go for the Wellington, I’d try the Drylands Pinot Noir. Enjoy!
