This is a real gem of a restaurant. The food is just excellent and cooked with obvious skill and care. It is a wonder that they manage to combine that with very reasonable prices and hearty portions. Today I had the smoked fish platter for starter(three large pieces of assorted fish), the lamb rump medallions(four chargrilled pieces with au poivre sauce) for main and lemon sorbet for dessert. Every element spoke of real, honest cooking skills. It’s quality you would normally struggle to find at any City restaurant and for only about £25 including wine and coffee it was such a find.

I seem to be pretty obsessed with steak at the moment, I’ve had it 3 times out of the last 4 nights. The steak here was good, medium rare, just like I asked for! Would of been nice for it to have come with peppercorn sauce or something! Sidcup is a bit dead of good restaurants and this place is pretty nice!

Above and beyond! We came here for mums wedding reception they set up the room upstairs for our party it was absolutely stunning. The service and pixe fix menu was so delicious. I would highly recommend this place for dinner anytime you are in London.

Three very reasonable courses with wine for £25 a head, bargain. Must commend the service from the young double act who took care of us for the evening; an attentive yet unobtrusive delight.

I love this place. It’s normally quite busy(always book at the weekends), the food is great and the staff are always helpful. The menu is a bit limited, but everything on it is cooked well and I would recommend the duck, smoked trout pâté and Camembert(if it’s on). The food is a mix of English and French and the menu is changed reasonably frequently. It’s a short walk from Sidcup station, so how about giving it a try if you’re in the wilds of deepest South East London?
