This branch of Nando’s is very convenient for a meal after shopping or before heading off to the cinema. Food, drink and service is what you’d expect from Nando’s.

The branch of Nando’s in Touchwood is very convenient for a meal after shopping or before heading off to the cinema, which is just across the way. To start with a negative, try to avoid sitting at the front tables in this restaurant, as it is very open to the shopping centre, and you feel as though you are seated in a corridor. For this reason it can also be quite cold. On the postive side, parking is easy, and cheap in the evenings. This is a very busy branch, but the staff are very efficient, and we have never waiting long for our food. I always go for the medium chicken, which is fairly spicy; I have never seen anyone order the hot variety, although I presume they must? There is also a more gentle lemon and herb variety. The starters include a good red pepper dip with pitta, or hummus with a spicy peri peri oil. The olives are gorgeous. Mains include various permutations of chickens — a quarter or a half cooked to your level of spicyness, chicken fillets on salads(Caesar or Mediterranean) or chicken burgers(really a fillet on a bread roll). More recently, a toasted halloumi cheese with chilli jam roll has been added to the menu; this is really delicious. The salads are good, with plenty of extra ingredients such as olives and shredded red cabbage. The bottomless soft drinks are good value, although I wish they would do bottomless water as well! There is also a selection of beer and wine.

You wait to be seated at the entrance and the waitress or waiter takes you to your table and asks if you have visited before. The first time I went I was told how to order and what to expect from the different spice flavours. I ordered a roast chicken with chips and garlic bread and opted for the mildest herb flavour which I was very pleased with. The only part I did not enjoy was the drinks which you refill yourself, but the alternative in other restaurants is paying for more drinks so it is nice to have the option of having a few drinks. They had a wide range of sauces the waitress encouraged me to try so I would be able to decide if I would like a stronger spice in a future visit, which I quickly decided against as they were far too spicy for my liking

The food was very nice and you get unlimited soft drinks refills. The staff were a bit offhand though but that didn’t ruin the meal. We didn’t wait long for our food to be served

This is another favourite of mine, If I am eating out I usually plan to go here or Wagamamas which is handily next door! The food is lovely and freshly cooked with the spice level you choose. I generally go for lemon and herb as the medium is very spicy to me! The chicken in pitta is lovely accompanied with spicy rice or garlic bread. The soft drinks are bottomless, as is the kids frozen yogurt. The kids meals are £4 including the yogurt and the chicken strips is a whole breast of chicken. The price is reasonable. You can have meals with 1 or 2 sides.
