This was a random selection from the list that Google Maps presented me when I typed in ‘Sunday Roast’ and boy am I glad we visited. The pub is a beautiful old converted barn with rustic but modern furnishings. The menu is full of delicious looking food and it was almost impossible to choose. The dishes are a good size and great value, cooked very well and imaginative. The staff are so lovely and keen to do their best to make your visit wonderful. I am very jealous of the people who can call The Farm their local and will definitely be making a return visit soon.

Lovely place. Cosy and welcoming on the evenings and in the summer they have big beanbags you can lounge on in the beer garden making if a really comfortable lovely atmosphere!

Such a great place for food! We sat outside which had a large space for children to run around and even play football. Food was delicious and portions were generous. With any main meal you get to utilise the salad bar which had a nice selection. I ordered the BBQ ribs, chilli wings, and pulled pork nachos with sweet potato fries and my oh my was it tasty! Prices were reasonable and would definitely come back!

A few friends and I went to the bar at the Farm on a Friday evening. The place was rammed with people but with too few bar staff. We ended up waiting ages in order to get drinks. The place was physically and atmospherically cold even though it was so busy. Typical posey Solihull drinking spot.

Came here for über-late Sunday dinner with my husband. It was worth the drive from Redditch for us and we wanted to look for a place that had decent food and wasn’t a typical chain pub like Wetherspoons. When we pulled in(bonus points for having a generous car park) we first walked into the bar section before realizing the restaurant was in the adjoining building. I was immediately sucked in to the ambiance — not too hipster-y, not at all dive-y and just the right amount of laid-back vibe. For some reason I was anticipating a huge wait because of the football, but I guess we hit lucky arriving when we did since it wasn’t too packed. We were seated after a few minutes… not too long of a wait before ordering, but it’s probably best to order a drink after sitting down so that things roll on a little bit faster. After ordering our meals we noshed on some bread with a garlicky mayonnaise/aioli spread and the usual butter. We both opted for the roast chicken dinner — for starters I had pumpkin and chickpea falafel on top of salad w/feta cheese and tzatziki(?) and my husband had the«super food» salad, made up of mixed greens, green beans, pomegranate seeds and beet root along with slices of duck breast. Both were great in their own right — and we’re definitely going to try the other items on the menu next time we come. Sunday roast was a half chicken with roasted potatoes, cauliflower cheese and stuffing –gravy was the right consistency and tasted great, as did the mixed veggies(I saw cabbage, peas mixed in with carrots and thinly sliced leek). I wasn’t able to finish everything on my plate but enjoyed how everything tasted — this is what Sunday roasts should taste like, when done properly. The heck with carvery-type places! Definitely got our money’s worth — we’ll for sure be here again!

Tasty food and good service. Tonight we ate from the prix fixe menu — 2 courses and wine for £9.95 a head. Blue cheese, pepper and tomato risotto was excellent and the Belgian waffle with toffee sauce and rum and raisin ice cream delicious!

Great pub, hidden in the middle of an eighties housing estate. Not the warmest of welcomes, but the staff are efficient and polite. Pricier end of the market for drink, but the food is good quality and the atmosphere for meetings during the day and when it gets a little busier in the evenings for a group of friends.

Had a meeting at this place yesterday — a good mid-point to bring together colleagues from Reading, Bristol and Manchester. We sat in the pub all day — had our fill of tea and coffee, and a lovely lunch(spaghetti with crab, white wine, chili and cream was delicious and just filling enough for lunch). It cost us only £70-odd quid for the entire day. No meeting room hire cost — which would cost upwards of £100 without so much as a cup of tea for a few hours in a nearby hotel. Weird location — on a housing estate a couple of miles off the M42 — but free parking across the road, really cool décor, lovely lattes and decent gastro-pub food. Highly recommended.

Having come through a recent renovation, The Farm is now a fabulous gastro pub. Located in the Hillfield/Monkspath area, this is not your typical housing estate type establishment. There is a smallish bar with good drinks selection and bar food, but there is also a converted barn which houses a more complete restaurant. The food in here is great, with a pretty extensive menu. For meat lovers there is a decent range of dishes with obvious steaks but also Moroccan Lamb offerings. This barn is also open till 1am on a friday and saturday night, so perfect for those wanting to stay out a bit later on the weekend but can’t be bothered to venture into town. All in all very worth a visit.
