Costa Coffee

I won’t be in a hurry to rush back here!
The table was not very clean and it took a while before someone would clean it due to being a busy time. The staff were very apologetic however.
When we finally got our coffee it was ‘warm’ but at least the chocolate cake was nice and moist.

Costa is located upstairs in the west quay shopping centre in southampton. This branch has a nice open plan feel as it’s really just a counter on one of the levels with a few seats outside i guess.
The café is therefore quite small so sometimes i find it difficult to get a table here when it’s busy and end up sitting in the cimmunal areas with all the other food hall diners.
It’s nice to sit back with a costa coffee and one of their pastries though, there’;s something about ehri coffee whcih for me tastes a little nicer than some of the other well known brands.
I’ve noticed they’re offering a larger range of cakes and sandwiches now than they used to, which is good as there is really only junk food upstairs in the food hall area, so always good to escape this. It can get quite noisy up here though, as it’s a busy shopping area!

There are 2 Costa’s in West Quay one upstairs in the food court and one on the ground floor near the exit. Upstairs can get very busy and it’s difficult to push a buggy around on a weekend. If you get a seat by the side you get a great view over the shopping centre and can do some people watching. The one downstairs is more unknown but it can get cold as it’s by the doors to the bus pick up area. The choice downstairs isn’t’ as good as upstairs but you are more likely to get a coffee here quicker.

This is a nice little café situated on the back entrance to West Quay. Its great if you want a hot drink on the run, or to stop by for a spot of lunch. Their food and drink is always really tasty and there is not usually huge queues. I particularly like getting a hot chocolate in the winter, nothing better. Staff are good and there is a clean and tidy seating area.

Nice coffee shop upstairs in the West Quay. There is also a smaller version downstairs by the back exit of West Quay.
They do a nice variety of beverages and cakes and small variety of sandwiches. This is a nice place to sit and watch the world go by and a welcome break from shopping or after shopping.
It is particularly nice at Christmas when myself and my mum go Christmas shopping. I always have the turkey and cranberry Panini and a mince pie! Really means its Christmas!
They have nice comfy sofas and chairs but beware of the seats just by the lifts as you can get bumped by pushchairs and people at buzy times.

Yummy hot chocolates and coffees. Good range of milkshakes but some of them were a bit too sweet for my taste. Clean restaurant generally and lots of comfy places to sit.
On the pricier side just for a drink but for sitting down for a chat with some friends with a coffee and a cake it’s lovely

A small Costa shop. It is quite expensive but they serve some really nice coffee, hot chocolate and cold drinks. They also have a few cakes and sandwiches. There are a few tables to sit at in comfy chairs which you pay more to stay in than taking away. The staff seem friendly. It is kept clean.
