If you want food that’s served cold and could be used as foundation when building a house; this is a great place to eat. My mother once ate a pie here, and it was so hard it couldn’t be cut into; I stabbed into it with a meat knife and it actually buckled the knife. you could throw their food at someone’s head and render them unconscious; at least then the food would serve a purpose other than a smelly paperweight. There is literally nothing good to say about this place; the staff are always in a foul-mood, the food is appalling, and the place is hardly ever clean; I wouldn’t even go in here to hide out from the upcoming zombie outbreak.

Popped in for a quick meal after shopping. Pleasantly surprised that the childrens’ meals all came with veg(peas) and that in general the quality of the food was better than expected. Tables were sticky — apparently a varnishing problem, but not really a good enough excuse, though that was all that was offered. Sausage and mash — very tasty as were the chicken nuggets(I’m told)! Service was slow but friendly with a smile. Wouldn’t rush to go back, but if I was in the area and hungry it would be on my list.

This place is linked to the Premier Inn next door, so it’s where you come for your tea in the evening, because you’re not anywhere near any nice places to eat, and for your brekkie in the morning, because you’ve already paid £7.95 for a Premier Brekafast. It’s all right. It’s one of those ‘Table Table’ places, so there are various offers on. When I was there last night there were massive signs everywhere saying ‘TWODINEFOR £10!’ but when I read the small print I saw that the offer expired in January. Smooth. I had a mediocre fish and chips for £8, followed by a mediocre eton mess for £3.95. Nothing to write home about, although the waitress was so smiley I thought her face was going to crack.

Strawberry Fields used to be family orientated when it first opened. Is now aimed at adults. Has a variety of dishes on the menu. Not for your meat and two veg brigade. Adjacent hotel which is good for wedding parties. Loads of free parking. Close to 24 hour Tesco if you get hungry after hours.
