I had a very difficult time with Ticketplan Group trying to secure a refund for Croatia Hideout 2014 shuttle tickets due to a medical emergency.
My story: I filled & mailed paperwork (which you can also fill out online on
), including an official doctor’s note, to the UK office. Although I already provided doctor’s note & bank information in the mail, they still asked me for it a 2^nd time via email. Ensuing several rounds of back & forth, my refund application was finally accepted. Being an American who doesn’t deal frequently (or at all) with international bank transfers, I only provided my account & routing numbers, but in fact I had to give my bank’s international swift code. At this point, Ticketplan never corrected or notified me about this. After several weeks of not hearing back and pestering them for updates, Zeenath Petersen finally responded that «bank has returned the funds due to incorrect swift code.» I didn’t even provide a swift code. For the 2^nd attempt I gave Zeenath Petersen my sister’s UK bank account information thinking this would be much easier. 11 days pass, and we receive an email saying the refund went through. However, my sister doesn’t see anything… thus starting a month of back & forth about where the money went! After getting the managing director involved, we discover that the supposed transaction didn’t even include the my sister’s account number, which is a pretty crucial piece of information when making a transfer. A month after the refund in question, we finally get a new refund processed and no-​one knows there the original money is.
Pros:
* Graham, the managing director, is the person to talk if you have an issue. He is courteous, responds quickly, and can expedite matters. If it wasn’t for him, we wouldn’t have resolved this frustrating and drawn-​out affair. His contact can be found at

* For a company that handles both UK & International transactions, I was surprised at how the employees, or at least the ones handling my case (Zeenath Petersen, Mrs. Lynn Pearce and Ms. Jenna Berry), seem clueless about different countries’ specific bank wire details needed and processes
* I wish Ticketplan was more helpful and informative about the UK to USA wire transfers. For refunds to American banks, Ticketplan should never have asked for IBAN code– ONLY switch & account. If they even provided something like
, it would have helped a lot!
TIPS FOR AMERICANS SEEKING REFUNDS FROM TICKETPLAN:
* Ticketplan is very strict about requiring original unused tickets. Make sure to provide originals versus the booking confirmations. If you can’t then your case does not proceed.
* You have to be proactive and not give up. When you don’t hear from them for a while, you have to be assertive and persistent.
* For UK to USA wires: you only need a Switch Code & Account Number. Again, use
to find your bank’s swift code.
