A nice Caffe Nero on the main stretch in Southport but could do with a revamp pretty soon! But has really friendly Baristas and i love there Coffee!

Caffe Nero is positioned right in the middle of Chapel Street offering a perfect rest break before conquering the next half of your shopping adventure. With plenty of seating both inside and outside, or upstairs and downstairs there is always a place to rest your feet and take a break. You get what you normally get with a coffee chain, over priced burnt coffee, but that’s ok, that’s what you came here for.

I should hate this Caffe Nero. And I will tell you that you shouldn’t frequent it, because with Pippins right next door, that would be sacrilege. But the one thing Pippins doesn’t sell is the humble frozen smoothie. During a heatwave of a summer spent working in a non-air conditioned branch of Barratts, this coffee shop was my saving grace. So, essentially I was spending all my wages on mashed up fruit with ice. But heck, it did me good. If you do have any chain fanatics in your party when visiting Southport, it might be worth coming here. But with the irresistible cakes and delicious quiches of Pippins mere steps away, why would you? Convince them otherwise. Unless they’re desperate for a frozen smoothie. Then I’ll allow it.

Probably the best coffee shop in Southport town centre for seating which can be difficult in the competitors. Standard Café Nero fair, staff friendly and quicker than some other branches! Disabled toilet downstairs, rest upstairs, plenty of seats upstairs
