What a nice little pub I found down a side street while visiting Southport for the day talk about a very friendly pub and it dog friendly. The feller what was working behind the bar was very friendly and nice made me and the bf very welcome we only nipped for 1 pint and ended up having about 4 and it was pretty cheap aswell. All the locals was nice aswell coming over to us for a chat we will be defo coming back to this put when we visit Southport again

Omg they said that the best places are tucked away from the main streets and in this case it’s definitely the truth. This pub is amazing the girlfriend and myself popped in for a beer while on a day trip to Southport and ang found this little gem. As soon as we walked through the door the locals started having a chat to us and the bloke behind the bar was super friendly one pint that we intended to have turned into 4or5 lol. Set in different seating areas with a circular bar this is definitely one of Southport’s top 10 pubs. Beer was pretty cheap and not a bad pint. Very welcoming to strangers. :-) Carn’t wait to re visit soon.

Visited on October 15th2014 Called in here for a drink whilst in the area for conference. Tucked away in a side street as all good pubs seem to be this is a small old fashioned pub. The décor inside is kind of random, almost like they used one sheet of wallpaper from every roll in the samples book. Warm and friendly I didn’t at all feel like the stranger in town. around 8pm a large dish of Paella appeared along with huge hunks of fresh bread and along with all the locals I was offered to «help myself». I always think that sharing of food is one of the most welcoming customs around. I liked this little pub, theres a good selection of drinks and prices are very good. Carling = £2.50 a pipnt.
