We popped in here for Sunday lunch which was good food and good value. I had beef, which was tasty although it did taste incredibly rich, almost like it had been cooked in ale. The Yorkshire pudding was huge but as it was mostly air inside I feel like I could have done with more than one. In my ideal world no meal would ever arrive pre-gravied but thankfully this wasn’t too soggy. The staff were all very friendly and professional. I’d happily head back here for a meal next time I’m in the area, though I don’t think I’ll make a point of it.

We have just been to the Bee Hive for lunch. It was one of the best Sunday lunches we had for a long time, the staff were polite and helpfull, the service was good. and the food was second to none. We were there a couple of weeks back. I had a steak that night it was fantastic, great value for money. I can highly recomend the food here.

The beehive is situated high on a hill above the village of Ripponden near Sowerby Bridge and Halifax. The Beehive, Soyland, is also near to the village of Mill Bank nestled into the hillside above Triangle. The Beehive is a typical country pub in many ways but has a well deserved reputation for serving good food at reasonable prices. The menu is a little too extensive in that it is often difficult to settle on what to choose from the many dishes on offer. A more restricted choice would lead to quicker decisions, I’m sure. There are bar snacks, and a la carte, as well as a huge number of specials listed on the blackboard behind the bar. The seating is varied and there are a number of tables outside to the rear of the pub, that are a welcome bonus during summer months. The Beehive serves traditional real ales and has a wide selection of wines on offer. Views across the valley to Barkisland and Norland are pleasant and add another dimension to the outdoor dining experience. I would reccommend the Ceasar salad — one of the best I have had. Traditional Sunday lunches are great value but make sure you book in advance as they are usually very busy. If this review was useful please click Helpful below!
