I am a little confused about the negative comments about this place. I consider myself to be quite a ‘foodie’ and although I have only been once, my friends have been many times. I loved my meal there, the starters and mains were beautiful and there was certainly no room for dessert. The staff were friendly and curtious. The only thing I would say against it is the lack of atmosphere upstairs but when there is a big group of you and such excellent food, that doesnt matter. I have just booked my Christmas party there for next week and can’t wait!

Went to this restaurant for the first and last time on Saturday night. I cant remember a worse meal. I had morrocan lamb stew which was an insult to cooking, I would have been embarrased as a chef to send it to a diner, the meat had totally disintegrated by hours (or days) of being kept warm. Stick to making sandwiches! Who are these people who rate it? They must have low expectations to find this level of cooking good.

A lovely restaurant just off the main road in Sowerby Bridge. Close to the town centre and bus routes as well as near to taxi companys this is really easy to get to. The food is incredible as well as being really good value for money. The menu tends towards a mediterranean theme, with goats cheese and olives on the menu. Its a great place to catch up with friends as its really relaxed, plus you can bring your own booze for only a small corkage fee

Café No 5 is just brilliant. I love it there. The food is always excellent, the service fantastic and the prices reasonable. I eat there on average once every couple of months and have never yet had a bad experience. It has a lovely bustly, vibrant atmosphere and the staff are always enthusiastic and happy to help. Despite the credit crunch this place is always busy — definately a good sign. The menu changes regularly so there is always something new to try. There is plenty of choice for everyone and vegetarians are well catered-for. Thoroughly recommended.
