Three Horseshoes

Went there on the off chance for lunch yesterday, I was impressed with the décor and the food did not disappoint one bit.
I look forward to trying the dinner menu.

Well it might have been quiet because the football was on, but this place has taken a dive. Used to have a busy lively atmosphere but is now devoid of soul! Went in on a Saturday night and there were only 5 other people in the restaurant area Two of which left shortly after we arrived. The starters were ok, but nothing to get excited about given the price. Had to send one of the starters back as the quality of what was presented looked like it had been prepared in Some cheap nasty roadside diner. £4.95 for a goat cheese that only had small scrapings of cheese is hardly the start of a good meal! The main course was significantly better, but with no other customers it felt like we were eating in a library. Meal for two with a 2 starters, 2 mains, 2 coffees and a bottle of wine £56. not exactly an inspiring atmosphere for such a meal! A great shame for what it used to be like.

This pub was refurbished a while ago and the décor inside is very country pub. Its a nice atmosphere. There is plenty of parking and a good sized garden that is used in the summer.
The food is adequate. It’s not that great with nothing to set it apart from others. I would by no means drive out of my way to go this pub.
It is part of the vintage inn group.

I drove by this pub many times and always thought that it looks really nice from outside but never went in. Fortunately I finally did and must say it is as nice inside as it looks from outside. Very cosy place, nice and warm and with a very friendly team running it. You should give them a try, whether for a relaxed pint or nice dinner. Its worth driving here if you live in St. Albans or Hatfield. Or even better, take the Bus (⁶⁰²⁄₆₀₁) so you can enjoy their selection of beers and wines.

We went here one day for a family meal. The food is really good and the service is excellent.
They cater for all ages and have lots of variety in their menu.
They managed to please everyone in our party of varying ages, from 7 to 90.
I would recommend this place to anyone for any occassion.

Excellent pub grub and really cosy environment.
Come often for dinner and Sunday lunch and have never been disappointed. Service can take a little time, although this maybe due to the huge number of tables they have.
Large beer garden as well, so summers there are always fun.
I’d highly recommend the steaks which have always been done to perfection everytime I’ve ordered!

This is a really nice country pub which is great for weekend drinking. It is a bit of a way out of town, but only about 5 – 10 minute drive. They serve really nice traditional pub food, and it is probably more of a pub-​restaurant than just a pub, but definitely worth a trip.
they have a big garden with lots of tables for the summer, and it is a perfect location for a long sunday lunch with friends and family.
