All fur coat, no knickers. Run by rich daddys boy who has no idea what he’s doing! Uses it as his own personal show off tool. Think theyre better than everywhere and everyone else. Mind the bouncers if you go in on a weekend. They have as much of, if not more of an attitude than the stuck up staff and owners that run this establishment. Its a real shame as it could be a stunning venue but certainly wont be rushing to go there again anytime soon.

Last time I was here this used to be a closing down post office. .and there was a lot of stipulation what it woulds happen to it. so I was very pleased to discover it in its current state. . Stafford is a quiet town. and so it must be hard for businesses to survive. …this place is obviously trying to cater for the locals needs under one roof. . When I walked in I was greeted by a really nice waitress who admitted it was her first day but would promise to look after us… she led us past a swish bar into a high ceiling-ed conservatory. decorated beautifully… The majority of diners were middle aged plus and there was a sense or etiquette about the place… The menu offered pub like food but more refined… I struggled a little bit as I only eat fish. and find heavily breadcrumb fish too heavy. especially on a summers day… I settled in the end for a fish chowder followed by a goats cheese salad… The chowder wasn’t as thick as a I like but was full of flavour. the salad on the other hand was really tasty… offering a good portion of goats cheese… To be honest I thought it was a little pricey what I had… but if you are a meat eater, there seemed to be a better choice and value for money… my partner had chicken skewers for example which were so hearty .he struggled to eat his main! After settling into a meal, a crowd of chavs did come in to celebrate a hen party. which spoiled the atmosphere as they were really loud… these were soon told to quieten down… then some of the club music interrupted the serene classical music being played in the dining area… This too was noted and switched back. Overall …they have done a good job of having a restaurant and a club under the same roof… the staff(particularly the one we had) were very polite and helpful… its rare to go somewhere where they get the basics right.i.e informing you immediately what is not available and the ‘soup of the day’. A tad pricey for what it is… but a nice addition to Stafford, which is not another curry house!

The Post House Stafford has recently opened following a multi million pound refurbishment. It has been tastefully renovated to a high standard and includes two restaurants, a bar, nightclub and both conference and banqueting facilities. I’ve eaten twice at the Post House once at a private function, and again in the Bistro restaurant. Both have been enjoyable experiences. The staff are both speedy and efficient so you won’t wait too long to be served. It is possible to reserve a table either by phone or using the online reservation service. The food in the bistro is tasty and served attractively. Prices are broadly comparable to chain restaurants, but the food is most definitely better quality.
