This is a typical country pub with lovely furniture a very nice atmosphere and gorgeous food. Highly rated amongst the local population and ideal for a lunch or half an ale on a winters day. The landlord is a real character who keeps his customers entertained and will keep you coming back for more. A word of warning though, don’t order a starter unless your stomach is like the black hole of Calcutta — the portion sizes are extremely generous.
