Living in Stevenage as a child I have bee to the lakes many times. It used to be really nice. In the summer with the swimming pools working and the lake filled up. At the moment its not really worth the visit as it is under a lot of construction. With the play area’s and the lakes itself. I hope the do a renovation on the café as leaves little to the imagination. But keep you eyes open for the announcement when the renovation is completed.

I bring my children here regularly. Although the large lake is drained at the moment, it is still worth a visit for the kids playground. This has a large selection of climbing equipment, slides and swings. There used to be a paddling pool which was very popular but this has been taken away now. However, I have been told that they are going to replace it with a water play area. The café is cheap, but not very cheerful.
