This is an authentically northern fish and chip shop which always has a long queue of people at lunchtime. It is only open for lunch and dinner and only on weekdays. It has a simple menu with all the fish and chip shop staples, and the prices are extremely reasonable (Large haddock and chips 4.50).
If you fancy sitting in, they have four tables in a kitsch backroom, where a lady will take your order and wait on you. Sauces are free and the menu has combination deals with extras like bread and butter and a (HUGE) mug of tea which are all well priced.
I really recommend it!
