Pets at Home

Great place to get pets from and all their dietry and housing needs and most of the staff are really friendly and helpful.
However after wanting to kit out our new fish tank and buy some fish from there, this member of staff said she was going to find a member of staff who could get some fish for us… which took nearly 15 minutes. When we went to find out where on earth she had got to, she was took stroking a guniea pig doing NOTHING! I was pretty peeved off as we had waited so patiently and she was actually not finding a member of staff at all. This happened a second time as well and by the time we bought the fish I was pretty hacked off to be honest. This is a real shame as all the other members of staff were so helpful and knowledgable about the fish and tanks etc.
The car park is also incredibly small and don’t listen to your sat nav it will take you a mental way! Just come right off the A6 onto the M60 roundabout and you’re pretty much there!
We will be coming as its where we get all of our pet things but Pets at Home– sort your staff out!

We got the pet urge… So decided to pop on down to stockport Pet’s at Home. First of all — don’t listen to the satnav, it kept trying to take us around the houses, you can get there straight off the M60 roundabout, pretty easily.
It’s pretty much a superstore with all kinds of furry little animals as well as an RSPCA and Vets. The fish selection was expansive with a huge range of fresh and tropical fish divided by a huge aquarium!
As well as lots of chirping guinea pigs and grumpy chinchillas they also have a wide selection of tanks, cages, dog beds, pet foods, grooming products etc…
Personally I prefer the smaller pet shops as I think they have a quirkier and friendly feel than the factory that is Pets at Home but the inclusion of the animal adoption centre is great!
On a downside the parking there is terrible. (Very small for a store this size).
So if you fancy massaging your pet urges pop on down and you won’t be disappointed by Guinea cottage or rabbit barn!

Not a bad little (big) place to come for the pet lover — especially if you want to buy food in bulk, pets toys and general pet-​tastic treats! There are also loads of live animals on show here meaning that it’s a good place to take your kids to have a look around, meet the animals and (potentially) taking one home!
We actually attend the Vets inside which are always really efficient (hardly a wait) and the staff are super friendly. The Vets get the job done quickly when we take our 2 cats in and are quick to recommend solutions to your pet probs.
On this occasion it was £95 to have our 2 cats annual boosters and wormed — hopefully just an annual charge as I wouldn’t want to pay that out regularly.

when my two moggies need new collars or worming tablets then i always shop here.
Inside is quite large with a big variety of things for almost all pets
you can find a good selection on pet foods, toys. bowls and collars and you can reserved on line and collect later.
Theres a dog grooming salon and vets at hand althought have never used
the vets here myself yet as it is costly.
Its a dog friendly shop too as they leave out biscuits and water
for the hungry dog and you can also get identity disc made here. for both dog and cats.

I don’t have a pet. However, I love visiting Pets at Home to look at the rabbits when I need cheering up! This particular store also has chinchillas, degu, mice, rats, hamsters, guinea pigs and huge aquatic section with gold, marine and tropical fish. So it’s worth going just for a look.
If, unlike me, you’re a pet owner and you want to visit Pets at Home with the intention of actually buying something, you’ll be pleased to find that this is a pretty big store. They let your canine companions browse the aisles with you and, if they’re a bit grubby, there’s a grooming salon that’ll help get them looking their best.

Made a visit to Pets at Home Stockport to look at there fish, being a novice myself, i asked questions about the fish and thy knew less than me, having to go and ask someone else, very poor service from so called trained staff, sorry not for me.

This has a wide range of pet supplies to choose from as well as a vets and grooming centre. It doesnt sell many animals anymore, mostly fish (and sharks!) and small pets, It used to sell birds but not anymore. Some of the pet supplies seem overpriced and can be found cheaper elewhere but you do get a few bargains. Some of the staff seem to know about animals but some dont seem to know anything. There is a small seating area with a vending machine of you want a sit down. Dogs are welcome on leads and there is always a bowl of dog biscuits for them at the till.
