Currys

I used to be quite a fan of Currys until recently when I tried to return an item. I got married a few months ago and many of the items on our wedding list were from from there but unfortunately we received a duplicate gift — 2 hand held vacuums. We didn’t have the receipt as it was a gift so didn’t expect a refund but the box was still sealed with the Currys security tag so I took it back to the store to exchange it for part payment of a new laptop.
Even though the laptop was £450 and the vacuum was only £40, the very rude customer services flattly refused to do the exchange and basiclly said it was tuff luck!
I emailled customer services and after waiting 2 weeks with no response I sent another email which eventually got a response that basically said that it was company policy never to exchange or refund any item without a receipt.
Many, many other stores have no problem with exchanges so I was very disapointed with Currys and won’t be shopping there in the future.

If you want somewhere with, helpful staff, good product selection, and all the other good stuff you expect go anywhere but Curry’s at Festival Park. I went in there for a mobile phone and had to hunt for member of staff to help me, it’s nice to not be hassled, but this was taking it a bit far! When I finally grabbed someone, they were useless. Could tell me nothing about the phone I was interested in, and left me standing around for 20 mins while he wandered off, supposedly looking for the packaged product I wanted to buy. After hunting for the guy and finally finding him, he told me he’d passed the query on to another member of staff. At this point I walked out. Save your energy and don’t even bother going in.

purchased my xbox 360 from currys, the staff were very helpfull and they even did a price match so i got my 360 £20 cheaper. the price of the goods is very reasonable and they are willing to match most offers

Comet is a large, spacious electrical store, which has good access for disabled people and pushchairs.
It sells a large selection of electrical products, such as TV, DVD recorders, computers, laptops etc.
The staff are always friendly, polite and helpful and will be happy to demonstrate any item. The store is always very clean.
