As far as churches go, Our Lady of Peace definitely wouldn’t be the prettiest one you’ll ever see. For one thing, it’s rather modern, situated as it is in a large room in a red brick building. However, what blew me away was the friendly welcome I received the moment I walked into Mass. One of the wardens ran off to get me a chair(the room was full of regulars) and told me «you’re very welcome» after asking if I was in Stratford-upon-Avon on holiday, which, indeed, I was. After Mass was over, he asked me to join the regular group for coffee, which I declined as I had to get back to town to meet a friend. I wouldn’t normally review a church — well, certainly not as a church-goer, although I might from the viewpoint of a tourist — but I was so pleasantly surprised by the friendly reception here that I just felt that this should be noted!
