UNIQLO

I love Uniqlo jackets. Especially the ones with the hoods. They are really warm, waterproof and can be rolled up right to fit into my handbag or a backpack.
They are hence absolutely perfect for Londons unpredictable weather.
Uniqlo jackets come in a huge and lovely range of colours and thickness.
You sometimes get great deals in store and online. If you aren’t in a hurry, I’d advise to wait until their annual sales.
The store here is well laid out and not overcrowded like the Oxford street one — which has now become the most expensive rented retail space in London. Gotta wnder how that’s gonna impact jacket prices though…

I live in the middle of nowhere, America and when I was in London for a business trip, I discovered this store close to the hotel I was staying in. Found out it was a Japanese brand that has recently begun expanding also in the USA. I would have given this place four stars for the type of clothing they offered, but they didn’t have larger sizes. Pfft — not everyone is built like a size 0 Japanese waif.

I normally love Uniqlo but will stay well clear of this one in the future. Bought four items and they forgot the alarm things on two. Had to go back and get those removed, was a annoyed that they just said sorry and it sometimes happens. I then asked what about the fact that I had to travel back and forth to the store — would they compensate me for that. The manager said he then needed a receipt for the travel costs — I then asked him how that would work since I have an oyster card (no receipt) and even if I had paid by case I could not show the ticket for the trip back before I had taken it. I acknowledged the problem but just kept repeating the same thing over and over. Always annoy me when I have to really be difficult to just get fair compensation — had to discuss, it almost raising my voice. A smart and service oriented person would just have offered a discount, gift certificate or something but this guy seemed totally unable to be service minded at all so will not give this branch anymore of my business (have however received good service at many other Uniqlo stores).

While visiting the Westfield town center, I came upon this location. Like all Uniqlo stores I’ve been too, it’s clean, tons of products to choose from, and all come in a variety of colors. It’s not as big as in the one in SoHo NYC but the selection is still on par with the seasons. Too bad as an American visiting the UK the exchange rate makes everything in this store (and everywhere in UK) more expensive. But its still cool to see this «Japanese Gap» is venturing to different countries

Comparable in size to its New York and Hong Kong, the Uniqlo in Westfield Stratford offers a collection unique to the London scene. Unlike its other outlets, with their dizzying display of neon colored sweaters, this one showcases its wider selection of (less ocularly offensive) winter wear ranging from the not-​often-​pushed jackets and other cold weather accessories.
