After a long walk with my dog today I called into the Board Inn Pub for a pint on my way home. I had all intentions of sitting outside with my spaniel. I opened the bar door and stood right at the exit to order my drink to be told by the barmaid that I would have to leave my dog outside. It would have taken 2 seconds to pour and pay for the drink but instead I was told I couldn’t be served. It’s not often we have good weather in Sunderland but to be told to tie a £500 dog up outside for someone to pinch I think is a bit bad. I wonder if they have the same policy for children???
