Dollond & Aitchison

Although they aren’t the cheapest of all the opticians in Sunderland (or in general), Dolland and Aitchison are my favourite. I often received mailings from them which have offered a completely free eye test, and I usually take up this offer! The staff are friendly and very professional and are not pushy about selling their products like some high street opticians, even if you are only taking advantage of the free eye test promotion! I always find that the waiting time is also a lot shorter than in other opticians — you get seen more or less straight away, even at peaktime (i.e. weekends).
Their frames are generally good quality and they have a lot of designer ones too. The prices reflect the quality really — I am a strong believer that you get what you pay for!
